About our Fellowship

The Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship is located at the intersection of Ceres Drive and Caria Drive in Lafayette, CO. (See “Map” below}

We offer community and support for those uncomfortable with dogmatic religion.

We provide Sunday services, liberal religious education for both children and adults and we provide social activities and community improvement activities. We honor our differing religious and philosophical beliefs and work toward a better community, country and world. We provide support for each other in time of need and recognition at times of achievement.

Opportunities to Get Involved

The opportunities to get involved in our community are numerous and varied. We encourage each individual to choose those opportunities that are appealing, and to get involved at his or her own pace. We understand that some like to jump in with both feet and others want to wade for a while!

Below are a few categories of ways to participate in the spiritual, supportive, and social life of our Fellowship.

Sunday Services

From September through May, Services are held every Sunday at 9:00 AM and 11:00 AM. Visitors are welcome. Coffee, snacks and conversation are available between services beginning at 10:15 AM on Sundays.

During June, July and August, one service is held every Sunday at 10:00 AM, followed by coffee and snacks at 11:00 AM.

Children’s Religious Education

Our children are schooled on Sundays, usually at the same time our services are conducted. All of the world’s religions, ethics, myths and beliefs are presented in a non-critical manner and to a depth consistent with the children’s ages. The children are encouraged to choose their own religious beliefs as they mature and to respect the beliefs of others.

Adult Religious Education

Courses exploring various aspects of philosophy and religion are periodically offered for adults.

Social Gatherings

Many social gatherings, generally with a purpose, occur throughout the year.

Groups

We offer various groups that focus on the needs of different populations within the fellowship. Men’s group, Young Adults Group, Women’s Group, Small Group Ministry are examples of the groups that are available. These groups offer participants a chance to gain close friends and explore their individual spiritual, social or practical needs within a small group of friends.

Committees, Groups, Positions and Events

Our committees, groups, positions and events offer an opportunity for members and friends to work with people of similar mind-set in the furtherance of fellowship goals.
