How To Use The Calendar
The BVUUF uses an online calendar, supported by Google, that provides a number of benefits for Fellowship members, friends, and visitors as well as for the BVUUF office staff.
The calendar can be accessed from BVUUF Calendar or from the QUICK LINKS menu. If you have any comments or suggestions regarding the online calendar, feel free to send them to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address).
The office staff keeps the calendar up-to-date at all times. Once a month, the calendar is printed and inserted in Connections. All new events are added as soon as they become known. By accessing the calendar on the BVUUF website, all members and friends can keep themselves current.
The office staff uses the calendar tool to manage the scheduling of the rooms of the fellowship building, so groups can see in ‘real time’ if the room is available for a planned meeting.
To schedule the use of a room
- First look at the calendar to get an idea if an appropriate room is available.
- If a room appears to be available:
- Fill out the BVUUF Calendar Event Request Form
- If you are uncomfortable using the from, email the office specifying:
- The date of your planned meeting
- Beginning and ending time
- The number of persons attending
- Your room preference if any and
- Any special requirements
The office will determine if an appropriate room is available and if so put your reservation onto the calendar. The office will also advise you by return email whether or not your room has been successfully scheduled.
If you use Google Calendar for your personal calendar:
- Click the event to access the pertinent details bubble
- Click on add to my calendar
- The event will appear in your personal calendar where you can set reminders, share with your friends and view on your mobile device.
