Adults
The Adult Religious Education (A-RE) committee invites adults and teens to join us in exploring new opportunities for growing and learning in this supportive religious community. Members and non-members all are welcome to participate in A-RE courses and workshops scheduled each fall and spring semester.
The courses are designed to provide information about the history, principles and values of Unitarian Universalism and their integration into our lives. Meeting in smaller groups with a focus on a particular topic, participants find they can grow in relation to self, others, and a larger spiritual reality — through personal reflection and group sharing of questions, values, beliefs, insights, decisions, and experiences.
The curriculum framework used by the A-RE program was developed by the Rev. Marjorie Montgomery:
Level I: Threshold Courses.
Introduction to Unitarian Universalism, the UU religious community, and to creating a personal belief system.
