The Presence Process
How do I develop the skill of being PRESENT? How do I use my emotions to enhance my life rather than interfere with it, make decisions more easily and improve relationships? Have you ever wanted to crack a joke to ease the tension? Have you ever listened to someone and not heard what they just said….and your hearing or aids are just working fine?
These questions will be addressed in the class based on the book “The Presence Process: “A Healing Journey into Present Moment Awareness” (second edition) by Michael Brown, a practical guide that facilitates development of skills in self recognition of emotion, clarity and personal transformation. Please purchase and read the beginning of the book (p. 115) before the first class. This is a repeat of the fall class, new and former participants are encouraged to attend.

A Manual for Living – Humanism Book Group
Come discuss and explore religious humanism as a way of life. “The premise of the book is that the goal of Humanism is to enable its adherents to become more fully human, to live well and flourish as human beings. That can mean different things to different people. This book articulates what it means to this writer and what it can mean to other Humanists. Its purpose is to show that Humanism is not only a philosophical perspective but also a way of living that is vital, meaningful, responsible and fulfilling, that Humanism is not only a matter of the head but also of the heart.” – William Murry
