Second Annual Winter Break Chalica Camp

Dates: Monday through Wednesday Dec. 19 – 21, 2011
Time: 9 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. with before and after childcare available
Tuition: $50.00 per child (member or pledging friend of BVUUF) $75.00 non-members Sliding scale fee/ Scholarships available.
Childcare $5.00 per hour. (available between 8-9 a.m. and 3-5:00 p.m.)
Location: Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship 1241 Ceres Drive Lafayette, CO 80026 plus an off-site field trip to Bob Berger Rec Center by RTD bus and a walk around Waneka Lake.

Ages: K – 5th graders.
Staff: One counselor (high schooler) for every 5 children, plus C.I.T.‘s (6-8th graders,) Katie Covey, Director and Laura Murray, Asst. Director.

Chalica is a winter holiday for U.U.‘s. In Chalica Camp, we go for a hike and eat Stone Soup, swim at the Rec Center, build a fire circle, walk a labyrinth, make dreydl’s for Hannukah, make candles for the solstice, and act out the Nativity story, all the while learning about Unitarian Universalism. Favorites like the Zoo Room, the Junk Sculpture Room, and Game Room will be offered. Come join us for Winter Break!
