Sunday Services

Worship Services Committee

Guided by the Minister and the seven UU principles, this committee provides one Sunday service each month (or two in a five-Sunday month) and each Sunday during the Minister’s vacation and study leave. Members are trained in how to create and lead worship services. The Committee hires guest speakers for some services and creates others “in house,” calling on the creative involvement of committee members and other Fellowship members. Ideas, participation, and feedback are always welcome. Contact the Worship Services Committee.

Volunteers

Our Sunday Celebration of Life service and the mailing of our monthly newsletter would not be possible without the participation of our members. It is a responsibility of membership and friends of the BVUUF to participate in teams that perform these tasks:

  • Sunday coffee making
  • Sunday coffee serving and kitchen cleanup
  • Sunday greeters
  • Sunday setup
  • Sunday take down
  • Sunday flowers
  • Bulletin folding
  • Newsletter mailing crew (one Tuesday per month)

If you have not joined a Sunday morning team, please contact the volunteer coordinator (Kathleen Norris) to choose a team with duties that fit your needs and the needs of the Fellowship. You can send an email to the volunteer coordinator or sign up on the easel just inside the east door in the foyer for any open teams or duties.
