Voices from UU Women’s History: “Herstorical Perspectives”
Dara Kaufman-LeDonne, with Worship Associates Melissa Williams and Theresa Lee
For the occasion of Women’s History Month and March 8th, International Women’s Day, we honor and lift up voices from UU women’s history — or “herstory”. How do UU women’s “her-storical” voices inspire and challenge our movement today? In what ways are our dreams informed by past visionaries? Join us in celebrating and contemplating together the legacies and promises of our movement. TJesse Manno, with his surprise array of instruments, and Kailin Yong on the fiddle contemplate and celebrate memorable moments in UU history.

From Aging to Saging
The Rev. Lydia Ferrante-Roseberry, preaching, Ray Hamilton, Worship Associate, Maryann Balassa, Ron Gould & Elena Slusser
What does it mean to grow older in a post-modern world? How have our images of aging changed over time? Today we share the wisdom of our elders as we explore ancient traditions and modern revisions of elderhood. The wisdom of growing older is expressed in music through several generations – from Ruby and Ellie Dickson, vocal, to Malena Boratgis, piano.
At 4 PM, Sunday at Four presents Kailin Yong, fiddle, and friends — including Jesse Manno — in their musical “Project for Peace”.

The U.U. Equation
Katie Covey, Director of Religious Education, preaching with the Rev. Lydia Ferrante-Roseberry.
The U.U. Equation: 7 + 7 + 4 = 4
Trying to define who we are as Unitarian Universalists is difficult. What if our U.U. identity can be captured with some skewed arithmetic? Katie will be offering reflections from her book “Full Circle; Fifteen Ways to Grow Lifelong UU’s” about who we are as a faith. It’s not “You can believe anything you want to!” Our Fellowship Singers help solve Katie’s UU Equation.

Passover Reflections: To Free the Oppressed
Ira Chernus, preaching, Dara Kaufman-LeDonne, Ministerial Intern, & Theresa Lee, WA
Passover is a time when many UUs join the Jewish commuity to celebrate freedom from slavery and oppression. Ira Chernus, CU Professor of Religious Studies, will speak about Israel’s policies toward the Palestinians, in light of Jewish traditions and UU principles that call us to stand against oppression everywhere. Let Justice ring, stirringly and deeply, from within the voice and guitar of Frank Gregg.
