Aesthetics Committee
The Aesthetics Committee is responsible for the look and feel of the fellowship building, especially the sanctuary, the foyer and the building entrance. The committee coordinates with the Communications Committee, the Buildings Committee and the Grounds Committee to assure a desirable aura is maintained.
Auction Committee
The auction committee organizes the annual fund raising auction of the fellowship. After lying dormant much of the year, the committee suddenly springs into action, generally in the fall, and plans and implements the auction. Not only is the auction a major contributor to the funds needed to run the fellowship, the auction is also a major source of fun and comradeship.
To contact the Auction Committee, email or contact a member of the Auction Committee.
Buildings Committee
The Buildings Committee ensures the proper records, planning, maintenance, repairs and security of the exterior and interior of the building, heating, ventilating, cooling, lighting, trash collection, plumbing, drainage systems and tools and furniture, equipment and appliances that are not office, music or CYRE related. The committee develops plans and procedures, hires, contracts or otherwise arranges for person power required to carry out its mission.
Canvass Council (see Canvass Council page)
Caring Committee
The Caring Committee oversees the delivery and care to those who are coping with losses related to, but not limited to, aging, illness or grief. This is accomplished through the creation of a “Caring Congregation”, more specifically, encouraging members and friends of the congregation (as they are willing and able) to offer support and assistance to fellow members and friends in time of need.
We encourage members and friends to express their ministry to our Fellowship and the larger community by caring for one another, thus living our Unitarian Universalist principles. We would like to know if you can help members and friends who are ill, recovering from surgery, or the elderly. Some of the ways to help are making phone calls, sending cards, taking food or making visits.
CYRE Committee
The CYRE Committee provides a high quality religious education for the children of the Boulder Valley Unitarian Universalist Fellowship. The committee sets policies and programs, advocates for issues affecting the children, offers special events that expand the RE experience and oversees the Sunday School Program.
Communications Committee
The Communications Committee provides the members, friends, staff minister and visitors with timely and informative information about the fellowship. The committee assures that written, spoken and visual information the fellowship distributes or posts is clear and informative. The committee advises all other committees, the board and staff with advice about how best to communicate and leads the fellowship to use rich and constructive methods of communications.
The committee keeps the fellowship aware of new methods of communication.
