  • This week’s Half-Plate offering: The Family to Family holiday gift program serves low-income families and individuals who are clients of the Child Protection, Adolescent, and Adult Protection (elderly and disabled adults) programs, and our basic needs families. This program emphasizes individual empowerment, family self-sufficiency and safety by providing a primary voice in decisions that affect their lives. Your assistance helps to support low-income clients by making gift cards available for this holiday season. These parents will relish the opportunity to purchase presents for their own children! Teens and the disabled or elderly adult clients will have an opportunity to shop for themselves without the disappointment of having to deal with inappropriate or unwanted gifts. Submitted by Larry and Ellen LaVerdure.
