February 18 — Making End of Life Choices
Constance Holden, a well-known leader in the hospice movement, and Elliot Good, a geriatric nurse practitioner, will discuss identifying values, choosing a decision-maker and having all-important conversations about your wishes.
March 11 — Planning Your Memorial
They say funerals are for the living, but maybe you’d like some input? Rev. Lydia Ferrante-Roseberry will provide helpful guidance on planning your funeral or memorial.
April 15 — Your Legacy
What will you leave behind? Certified Legacy Navigator Janet Meyer will discuss ways to shape how you will be remembered, through writing, photos, and digital media. Local estate planning attorney Kurt Hofgard will highlight
important legal and financial matters to consider in your plans.
April 29 — Green Burial and Organ Donation
Sue Mackey, of Out of the Box End-of-Life Planning, will present information about options for the body, including burial, cremation, family-led funerals and green burial. She and Elliot Good, geriatric nurse practitioner, will also provide guidance around the often-confusing options of organ and whole body donation.
May 13 — Colorado’s End-of-Life Options Act
On November 8th, Coloradans voted to pass this Act which allows terminally ill patients to self-administer life-ending medications. Constance Holden, former hospice nurse and administrator, Elliot Good, geriatric nurse practitioner, and Sue Mackey, of Out of the Box End-of-Life Planning, will provide an overview of this new law.
