Aug. 23, 2015 School of the Spirit Weekly Update

Summer means ONE Service at 10 a.m. through Labor Day. SpiritJam Animal Blessing! Bring a friendly, caged or leashed pet, a photograph of a pet, or a favorite stuffed animal.

 

Animal Blessing10 a.m. “Animal Blessing- Seventh U.U. Principle” Bring a friendly, caged or leashed pet, a photo, or a favorite stuffed animal. Clara Kelley, Youth Choir Director, will sing “All God Critters” for this outside program. Don’t worry, we will have extra stuffed animals, and drawing materials on hand if you forget.

Take away: All critters have a place in our community.

10 a.m. Preschool/Nursery-  Miss Ari and the preschoolers will join us for part of the time.

 

Announcements: 

2nd Annual Water Slide for the Water Services, Sunday, Sept. 13; 9 and 11 a.m. Bring a suit or old clothes and a towel. Kids will slide during the services. We will join in full community for the Sharing of the Waters Ceremony (bring water from a meaningful place.) Then all are invited to slide down the water slide after each service!

LifeSpan RE Council (aka School of the Spirit “School Board”): We have openings for one or two more folks to serve on the Lifespan RE Council. Help shape the adult and multi-age program for the upcoming year – we meet approximately five times per year. Please contact Katie Covey at directorre@bvuuf.org if you are interested.
