Paul Austin (he, him) lives with his wife Amy in Louisville. He and Amy are very excited to be back in their new home after the Marshall Fire. Paul has been at the Fellowship for about seven years. He was on the Committee on Shared Ministries for three years, serving as Co-Chair in 2022-23 with Mary Stackpole. He is now in his second year as a Trustee on the Board.
Paul is self-employed at Austin Chiropractic Center DBA Austin Functional Wellness for the last 37 years, previously in Louisville and now in Lafayette. He specializes in functional neurology, working with concussion, ADHD, vertigo and balance issues, and aging brain in seniors. He also practices traditional chiropractic care for spinal problems.
Paul’s hobbies include tennis, hiking (he has climbed 46 Fourteeners), biking, working out at the gym, listening to music, and singing in Generations Choir in Boulder for the last 10 years with Amy. He also loves bingeing on TV shows with her. He is a lifelong learner, especially enjoying learning new things about the brain and body. Amy and Paul have a small dog, a Havanese named Daisy.
Paul loves how the Fellowship promotes generosity, kindness, and caring for each other and for marginalized groups. He appreciates all the hard work put in by volunteers, including the Service Associates. Every service gives him something valuable to take home. He enjoys the music program and the guest artists that are featured. He is honored to be able to serve in leadership at the Fellowship. He also served on the Interim Search committee which brought Rev. Barbara to BVUUF.
