Aug. 25, 2013 Religious Education Weekly Update

Fly, Eagle, Fly
A Tale From Africa

10 a.m. K-5:  Fiona will read “Fly, Eagle, Fly” a tale from Africa retold by Christopher Gregorowski followed by discussion and freeplay. When the children of Ghana heard this story, they would run excitedly around their playgrounds with arms outstretched like the wings of eagles. We will invite our children to do the same. “How frequently we have thought that we were chickens destined to spend our lives limited to an earthly existence with limited horizons, whereas we are made for something far more noble.”  Archbishop Tutu

10 a.m. Preschool/ Nursery:  Loving childcare with games, stories and freeplay.

Service begins at 10am in the Sanctuary for K and up. The nursery/preschool is open.
