• This week’s half plate offering goes to Volunteer Donated Camp Fund/Boulder County Dept. Housing and Human Services, who makes a commitment to assist 200 kids whose families cannot afford the cost of camps or Recreation Center passes. Many are raised by grandparents with limited income, or are living in foster care or group homes. Others have disabilities and special needs. Nominated by Ellen LaVerdure.
