“Compassion for Action”

Rev. Lydia Ferrante-Roseberry, preaching; Jim Highsmith, Worship Associate

You can see our vision statement on the walls of the sanctuary: “Bringing Love and Reason to Life; Building a Just and Compassionate World.” We seek to live out these values of love, reason, justice and compassion, but can these looming words overwhelm our quest for right action? We explore the many ways we can act with justice and compassion.

Also – don’t forget to sign up here if you’d like to bring bread to next week’s “Sharing of Bread” service.

  • This Week’s Half Plate offering: The Conversation Project, which helps people talk about their wishes for end-of-life care. Too many people are dying in a way they wouldn’t choose and too many of their loved ones are left feeling bereaved, guilty, and uncertain. The Conversation Project helps to transform our culture so we begin to talk about end-of-life care and what options are available to us. Nominated by Connie Holden.
