"What is UUism?" collages from Coming of Age
“What is UUism?” collages from Coming of Age

Hey Youth and Parents!

In February, Youth Ministry was full of love!  The youth group made valentines for people in immigration detention centers. Coming of Age folks interviewed the Guides about their beliefs and heard from Fellowship members about why they’re involved in congregational leadership (Thanks Wynn and Millie Montgomery!).  Our Whole Lives explored pregnancy and contraception with resources from Planned Parenthood of the Rocky Mountains. We had 8  attend the annual Middle School con, which explored covenant through workshops, games, and worship with the 70 other UUs.  Thanks to Leticia Abajo for being a youth sponsor at the con and to the parents for driving to Colorado Springs!

Thanks to Mary and Joe Callahan for providing fabulous New Couches for the youth room and to everyone else who helped move them in!

During the  SpiritJam pilot in March, the youth will be “Jammers” who help guide and mentor the younger ones through the different Jams. This will provide leadership development opportunities and celebrate their gifts.
