The Selma Awakening – Book Club (UUCB)

March 15, 2016 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

The UU Church of Boulder and the Boulder Valley UU Fellowship invite you to participate in our spring racial justice book group. We will be reading Rev. Mark Morrison-Reed’s “The Selma Awakening.”

Join co-facilitators Beckett Coppola and Scott Youmans for an exploration of our faith movement’s civil rights activism in Selma, Alabama in 1965. It could be argued that Selma was a turning point for Unitarian Universalists and the United States. We are at another turning point, and this light from our past could help illuminate the road ahead.
