Scott Youmans

Scott (he/him) has been a member of BVUUF for a decade, and a Unitarian Universalist for over 20 years. He brings a calm presence, a curious mind, and a task-oriented approach to his leadership positions. Scott is married to Kelly LoGiudice and they share their lives with three cats: Ace, Frodo, and Pippin. During the day, Scott manages a software development team for a lighting company.

Scott is an ordained Cherag, meaning Lamp in Arabic, in a Universal Sufi tradition. He attended Starr King School for the Ministry for a few semesters and was inspired by theologians such as Rev. Dr. Rebecca Parker, Reb Zalman, and Dr. Ibrahim Farajaje. A mystic at heart, Scott embraces multi-religiosity and maintains connections with Zen and Sufi communities.

At the Fellowship, Scott has served on the Board (2019-2022) as a Service Associate Co-coordinator, and book discussion group facilitator. He has also co-chaired the Auction team (2022-2023). While a member of the Unitarian Church of Philadelphia, he served on the Committee for Shared Ministries and was a Worship Associate. While a member of The Religious Society of Bell Street Chapel, in Providence, Rhode Island, he served on the board and the Worship Committee. In the broader UU world, Scott served as a Ministerial Fellow with the Church of the Larger Fellowship and has been on the steering committee for Allies for Racial Equity.
