Ari Atarka

Ari started at the Fellowship in September of 2014, at the Merging of the Waters Sunday service. While new at that point to Unitarian Universalism, they found a spiritual home within the Fellowship. Ari has a Bachelor of Arts in Early Childhood Education through Metropolitan State University of Denver and has been working officially in the field for 13 years. They have worked with children since going through the YMCA’s babysitting program at 12 years old and helping their mom teach Sunday school.

Outside of the church, Ari keeps a busy schedule taking care of their two children, working as a lifeguard and a swim teacher through the Louisville Recreation Center, and also has an IT support job. Ari loves music and has enjoyed incorporating songs into the Religious Education curriculum. Their playful spirit has also brought in mermaids, fairies, and face painting; many of their favorite things! Other things Ari and their family enjoys are board and card games, and watching TV.
