Spenser graduated from the University of Colorado with a bachelor’s in evolutionary biology and philosophy, and he is working on his Master of Social Work degree at Metro State University in Denver. Spenser also serves in the Colorado Army National Guard as a commissioned officer. Spenser seeks to utilize his talents in order to help alleviate suffering in the world in its many forms. As to hobbies, Spenser enjoys engaging in philosophical debate, writing, reading the classics, art, piano, running, and martial arts.

Spenser came to the Fellowship in 2015 as a SpiritJam leader, served as the Communications Specialist for a time, and currently is back in the role of SpiritJam Lead for the Fellowship. He places special emphasis on making learning truly joyous for all participants, and strives to utilize modern, engaging teaching methods to ensure each Jam provides a meaningful experience.
