Announcements:

** Family Christmas Eve Services with the “No Rehearsal Xmas Eve Pageant,” Tuesday, Dec. 24, 3 or 5 p.m. (there is also a quieter service at 8 p.m.).

Indulge your desire to be in the No-Rehearsal Christmas Eve Pageant 3 or 5 p.m. Dec. 24. We invite adults, youth and children. See below for my Angel story!
1) who will be Caesar Augustus and wear an ivy crown?
2) Is there a Mary or a Joseph who would like to be in the pageant?
It’s nice to have these parts confirmed before the service.
3) And of course, the other parts Stars, Manger Animals, Shepherds, Angels, and Wise Guys and their Assistants. We will be inviting members of  the congregation to come up and either use one of ours or come in your own costume.
A few more walking sticks to borrow would be nice (shepherds’ crooks). Please make sure your name is on them!
Thanks to all who have contributed headbands, scarves, white boas and crowns, Magi gifts, and especially to Elizabeth Robinson who has donated a multitude of tabards, hats, capes, etc. to us!
My Angel Story: The Mayor of Fort Collins at the time was a member of my old congregation. She called me up and asked if she could be an angel in the pageant. “Sure!” She showed up, all 6 feet tall of her, in a totally awesome diaphanous gown and a scepter and indulged her lifelong desire to be the Angel Gabrielle! It was truly glorious and fun!

** Child Dedication for Christmas Eve Services, 3 and 5 p.m. Dec. 24. Interested in having your baby or child dedicated in U.U. tradition? Christmas Eve is one of the times we offer this ceremony. Read more about BVUUF Child Dedications or fill out the Child Dedication Request.

In the spirit of the holidays (and without laryngitis like last year!), Katie
