Guns to Garden Tools: From Despair to Hope.

This service will tenderly explore the plague of gun violence in this country. From mass shootings to domestic violence, accidental gun deaths and suicides, unsafe and violent use of guns play an extraordinarily large role in unexpected deaths in our nation. Our recently formed Guns to Garden Tools Team is helping us move from ‘thoughts and prayers’ to the ‘energy of action’. In this service, we’ll touch on both the pain of this plague in our nation, as well as how we can be one beacon of hope for others. PLAN ON STAYING AFTER THE SERVICE Stretch, get your coffee, and regather in the sanctuary at 11:30am. Rev. Catharine and Rev. Lydia will create a space for you to share your personal experience with gun violence. You will be sharing your experience within the safe and accepting arms of your community. We hope everyone will come whether you have something to share or not. This will be an important community time.
