Celebration of the Land

For the first time in 170 years, since they were removed from the land and massacred at Sand Creek, a delegation from the Southern Cheyenne/Arapaho Nation of Oklahoma is being welcomed to their homeland.

30 youth, 10 elders, and 5 chaperones arrive in the area on June 23, and join us at BVUUF staying two nights with us before heading home. They hope that this will be an annual event. The Fellowship hopes to develop relationships with the delegation, with a possible future visit to their home in Oklahoma for our youth.

Elders will participate in our Worship Service including a blessing of our building and land, youth participate in SoS activities.
