The Ground of Relationship

BVUUF welcomes a delegation of elders and youth from the Southern Cheyenne/Arapaho tribe, who lived in Colorado for centuries before European colonist-settlers stole their land. This is the first time since 1864, when they were massacred at Sand Creek and then removed to Oklahoma, that a delegation from their Nation has been welcomed to their homeland to fulfill their desire to bring their youth and teach them about their life in Colorado, their history, language, and culture. The elders will take part in the service and bless our building and land. Come help forge a new relationship with people whose ancestors loved this land.

Elders will participate in our Worship Service including a blessing of our building and land, youth participate in SoS activities.
