December 20

“Rising from the Dark”
Rev. Lydia Ferrante-Roseberry, preaching; Ellen LaVerdure, Worship Associate
We gather as the longest night awaits us. What lessons does the darkness hold? What expectations rise up with the slow return of the light?

This Sunday’s Half-Plate: “I Have a Dream” works to motivate and empower children from low-income communities to reach their education and career goals by providing a long-term intervention program of mentoring, tutoring, and cultural enrichment. Upon high school graduation, each Dreamer may apply for a four-year tuition-assistance scholarship for college or vocational school.
