“Courageous Love: Building the World We Dream About”
Rev. Lydia Ferrante-Roseberry, preaching; Wendie Highsmith, Spenser Raymond, and Rachel Stevenson, Worship Associates
Today we end our Thirty Days of Love with an all-ages service that invites us to share our “Courageous Love.” We will celebrate our partnership with the “I Have A Dream Foundation” and offer them the “Courageous Love Award.” Boulder Valley UU Fellowship is one of a few congregations in the nation, and the only one in Colorado, to have made an ongoing commitment to sponsor a “Dreamer”.
This Sunday’s Half-Plate: “I Have a Dream” works to motivate and empower children from low-income communities to reach their education and career goals by providing a long-term intervention program of mentoring, tutoring, and cultural enrichment. Upon high school graduation, each Dream may apply for a four-year tuition-assistance scholarship for college or vocational school. Nominated by Dianne Ladd.
