“Becoming a Compassionate Person to Build a Compassionate World”
Chris Itano, Worship Leader; Judy Feland, Worship Associate

We’ll explore Karen Armstrong’s twelve steps to becoming a compassionate person, and how they can help us to fulfill our covenant “to affirm and promote. . .compassion in human relations,” and so to “build a just and compassionate world,” as our mission statement at BVUUF challenges us to do.

This week’s Half-Plate offering: The Denver chapter of the Black Lives Matter organization, Black Lives Matter 5280, has committed to build loving and united black communities while eliminating anti-black violence and racism. This half-plate donation will assist their organizing efforts to help black congregations rebuild after the recent arson attacks. For more information, please visit: https://blacklivesmatter5280.wordpress.com/about/. Nominated by the Racial Justice Group.
