Sunday Service: March 15, 2015

Services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

“Selma Sunday”
Rev. Lydia Ferrante-Roseberry, preaching; Larry LaVerdure, Worship Associate
Fifty years ago, Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. sent a telegram to faith leaders around the country, including Unitarian Universalists, calling on them to join him in Selma – and UUs heeded the call. We are once again called upon to continue witnessing against the “disease of racism.” Come worship together as we symbolically “cross the bridge” for justice and celebrate Selma Sunday.

  • This week’s Half-Plate offering: “Compassion and Choices” which recognizes the inherent worth and dignity of every person and supports for an individual’s declared wish to die. Obstacles exist within our society against providing support for an individual’s declared death wishes. Nominated by Joan Stearns.
