“Education as Liberation: Understanding the Impacts of the Doctrine of Discovery”

Explore the lasting impact of the 15th century imperialistic papal dictates on indigenous people, inviting ourselves to recognize the harm done as a first step towards right relationship.

This Sunday’s Half-Plate: Toward Right Relationship Project, which educates adults and young people throughout the country about the Doctrine of Discovery and helping us take steps together toward “right relationship.” We will host their workshop, “Roots of Injustice, Seeds of Change: Toward Right Relationship with Native Peoples” from 1-3 p.m. on March 20 here at the Fellowship.
