“They Are With Us Still” Annual Day of Remembrance
Rev. Lydia Ferrante-Roseberry, preaching;Intern Minister Ruth Rinehart, Worship Associate
“In the struggles we choose for ourselves, in the ways we move forward in our lives and bring our world forward with us, It is right to remember the names of those who gave us strength in this choice of living. It is right to name the power of hard lives well lived.”
– Kathleen McTigue.
At this service, we join cultures the world over that celebrate and grieve their dead, as we name those we have loved and lost as build an altar in their honor. Please bring photos and mementos to the service to add to the altar.
This Sunday’s Half-Plate: Approximately 795 million people do not have enough food to lead a healthy, active lifestyle. On Oct. 25, members of our Fellowship walked as a team to alleviate hunger at home and abroad during the 30th year of the Boulder County CROP Hunger walk. Today’s collection will add to what the BVUUF team has collected so far. Nominated by Dianne Ladd.
