  • This weeks’s Half Plate will support HOPE – Homeless Outreach Providing Encouragement. HOPE is a Longmont-based, after-hours, year-round street outreach program to homeless individuals. HOPE provides life-sustaining support to the homeless community, while offering programs which encourage movement toward self-sufficiency. HOPE’s philosophy recognizes the interdependence and interconnectivity of all persons in a given community. It acknowledges a shared responsibility for mitigating, inasmuch as possible, the collective struggles of that community, as well as celebrating the shared accomplishments. It understands that merely the thinnest of lines separates the successful from the failed, and that strong and healthy communities will find ways to reach across that line
