Services at 9 a.m. and 11 a.m.

October 11

“Welcome, Invitation, and Letting Go”
Rev. Lydia Ferrante-Roseberry, preaching; Ruth Rinehart and Brian Kenyon, Worship Associates
We welcome Arturo Hernandez-Garcia, the immigrant who spent nine months in sanctuary at First Unitarian in Denver. Jennifer Piper, organizer of the Sanctuary Coalition (in which BVUUF participates), will join him. Together, we will celebrate accomplishments and chart the course for the future as we ask ourselves “What do we need to let go of in order to open our arms even wider to the needs of the immigrant community?”

This Sunday’s Half-Plate: The Metro Denver Sanctuary Coalition, a faith-rooted movement standing for love and justice, taking moral action, and standing alongside families and immigrants. The Coalition coordinates and brings together immigrant, host, and support communities for education and action.
