This Week’s Highlights
Sunday Service: October 20th
(Services at 9:00am and 11:00am)

  • “At Home in the Universe”
Rev. Sarah Gibb Millspaugh; Paul Gibb, Worship Associate
As our small blue planet spins around the not-so-big star we call our sun, here we are. Each of the seven billion of us unique and unrepeatable, trying to live meaningful and fulfilling lives the best we know how. Between the dawn and the dusk of our lives, how do we trust our deepest experience? How do we live with faith? How can we be, truly, “at home in the universe?”

  • This week’s Half Plate offering will benefit CROP Walk. CROP (originally Communities Responding to Overcome Poverty) started in 1946 in England as a way to help victims of WWII. It has ballooned into an international phenomenon. Our county has a goal of raising $45,000 (24% will go to Community Food Share, 25% for CWS specifically for Boulder County flood relief, 1% for Bread for the World, and 50% to the UUSC—our charity of choice). This year the Boulder County CROP Hunger  theme is: “Walking the walk, the whole year long!”
